And Speaking of Stardust...

It's a great movie! If you like fun fantasy type stories (Princess Bride/ The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe/ The Golden Compass/ Lord of the Rings, etc.), I bet you'll love Stardust, too. I think it's rated PG-13 (for fighting scenes and spooky bad guys.) Here's one of my very favorite monologues. Forget that she's talking to a mouse. He's really a man who got changed into a mouse. And here's the trailer:

Pretty Pictorial: Annie's Fashion Fairytales

Aren't these celebrity fairy tale pictures just great? I think my favorite is Rachel Weisz as Snow White. Read more about photographer Annie Lebiovitz here.

Anthropologie Archeology, Morse Code Necklaces, Kidlet Cowboy Invitations

These are THREE THINGS I LOVE RIGHT NOW:

1. Anthropologie Archeology: Did you know that Anthropologie Customer Service will help you track down your most coveted items? Even those nolongeravailableonline, past-season pretties. My gloriously kooky Marine Mural dress was hiding in a shop in North Carolina. And yes, that is an underwater scene with a giant red octopus along the bottom hem. Artsy? Yes. Fartsty? No.

2. Morse Code Necklaces: Don't you just love how pretty and delicate these necklaces are? The dot-dot-dashes spell out popular words or sayings like "I love you," or you can even get a personalized one with your name. Supersweet gift idea.

3. Vintagey Kidlet Party Cowboys: How cute are these happy invitations? And right now, they're on sale.

Traced Twirls, Floral Finds, Monster Hands

These are THREE THINGS I LOVE RIGHT NOW:

1. Traced Twirls.
My yummy new, spin-inducing dress from Anthropologie. Is it wrong for one girl to have 33 dresses?

2. Floral Finds. I found some really cute things in my local Target's sales section this weekend, including this adorable flowery button-up (button-down?) shirt. For only $4.98!

3. Monster Hands. What kidlet wouldn't love getting these Land of Nod creations as a little giftlet? Actually, I think my husband would love to get these. Heck, let's be honest, I'd love to get these... They're sorta like those regular rub-on tattoos, except they're especially designed to go over the sidey part of you hand, so they look like chomping monster mouths. They also make an animal mouths version. Cutecutecute!

Dead Friends, Polka Dots, Birthday Acquisitions

These are THREE THINGS I LOVE RIGHT NOW:

1. All My Friends Are Dead. A hilarious book by Avery Monsen and Jory John.

2. Polka Dots. In black and white, they're sorta like a neutral. At least they are in my brain:

Essential Cardigan: From Target. Beware; this one's worth getting based on cuteness, but it's not the bestest in quality.

Mullany Dress: From Anthropologie (shown above.) I have something similar, except it's black with white dots, from a past Banana Republic collection. Style Tip: Polka dotsy clothes always look fun (and less Minnie Mousey) when paired with brightly colored solids (like my favorite cardis from Nordstrom.)

3. Birthday Acquisitions (thanks to generous family gift-givers, I was able to add two more deliciously girly dresses to my collection this week):

Chromatic Canvas Shirtdress: From Anthropologie. I found it runs a teensy bit smallish.

Cookout Queen Dress. From Modcloth. This one has a secret stretchiness to the back waist, which is perfect for comfying-up during those food-filled, boa constrictoresque tummy moments.
