Style Muse: Chuck from Pushing Daisies

So. For those of you who maybe don't know, Chuck was a character from a TV show (Pushing Daisies) which is (sniffsniff) no longer on TV. Pushing Daisies was one of the verybestTVshowseverinthehistoryofTV. Everything about it was delightful and charming; the premise, the characters, the storylines, the dialogue, the music, the art direction, and (especially!) the wardrobe. In particular, Chuck's wardrobe.

Chuck wore mostly dresses (yay for dresses!), all of which had a modernized vintage feel; lots of classic (40s, 50s, & 60s) shapes with whimsical details, bold prints, and vibrant colors. She actually wore bright yellow all the time, which is a rarity to see on TV, and actually in life, too. I suspect that if more people wore bright yellow, it would raise the global percentage of smiling and humming and waving hellos. Yellow just does that. It happifies things. Cutesy accessories do that, too. And Chuck had tons of darling little hats, scarves, bows, pins, headbands, bags, sunglasses and gloves. Yes, even gloves!

I miss Pushing Daisies.
