Next Saturday, November 8, 2008 is the Nature Center's Acorn Festival. Did you know that acorns were a vital form of sustenance for Southern CA's native people? The ample CA Coastal Oaks provide so much more than beauty and shade! My friends Anne and Deborah have been hard at work coming up with superfun activities, and have even enlisted a guest chef to teach a special "Cooking With Acorns Class." If you're interested, you may enroll at the Nature Center Museum front counter. Preregistration is required.
