I'm teaching a specialized group basic training class at PETCO in Long Beach (off of 2nd Street and PCH) especially for small breeds. Group classes are a great way to help socialize your dogs in a healthy, safe environment. In this small breeds only class, little dogs will be able to learn without wondering if silly, clumsy big dogs might accidentally step on them:) These classes may also be repeated (which is a fun way for your dog to brush up on his or her skills.) Curriculum is positive-reinforcement based, and includes basic commands such as sit-stay, down-stay, etc.
The next Saturday Morning Small Breed Basic Class will start in early Winter 2009.
Register directly through PETCO (just go up to a cashier and ask how to sign up.) Space is limited, and there must also be at least 3 students enrolled ahead of time in order for a class to go forward... so early registration is recommended :)
